Privacy Policy – Faye

Faye (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an appointment scheduling platform for salon professionals. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

1. Data we collect

Account data. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).

Business data. Information you enter to run your business: salon name, location details, opening hours, service types, and branding preferences.

Customer data. Contact details and appointment history for the clients you add to your account. You are responsible for having the appropriate basis to store this information.

Booking data. Appointment records, including date/time, service, and any notes.

Usage data. Basic analytics such as page views and feature usage, collected to improve the product. We do not sell this data.

Payment data. Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store card numbers. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to payment data.

2. How we use your data

To provide and operate the Faye service.
To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, password resets). Email delivery is handled by Resend.
To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe.
To respond to support requests.
To improve the product based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Third-party services

We use the following sub-processors:

Supabase – database and file storage (hosted in the EU).
Resend – transactional email delivery.
Stripe – payment processing and subscription management.
Vercel – application hosting and edge delivery.
Google Tag Manager – used to manage analytics tags on our marketing pages.

4. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your data within 30 days, unless we are required to retain it by law.

5. Your rights

Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@usefaye.com.

6. Cookies

We use necessary cookies required for authentication and session management. We also use Google Tag Manager on our marketing pages to load analytics tags that help us understand how visitors use the site. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies via the cookie banner shown on your first visit.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your data.

8. Children

Faye is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
